THE WORLD BY THUMB
100% hitchhiking - 100% world tour - Since 2013 - By Florence Renault
MALAYSIA
from September, 12th to October, 11th 2017
After a week spent in Singapore , we hitchhiked to Malaysia. We discovered a way more modern country than we expected, mainly Muslim and with large Indian and Chinese communities. Most Malaysians speak English which makes communication a lot easier. I volunteered alone for a week in tiny family farm for a week. Then with my boyfriend Sebastian, we hitchhiked along the west coast of the country together, we visited the old colonial nieghborhoods and the numerous temples of the cities, we walked in the tea plantations and we swam at the "Monkey Beach" of Ipoh. After a month, we reached the northern border with Thailand and continued my hitchhiking world tour .
