from March, 23rd to June, 2nd 2014
I hitchhiked a boat to leave Argentina. After failing in my research of a free boat to Antarctica, I found a free sailboat to navigate the Beagle Channel to the island of Puerto Williams, the southernmost town in South America. The landscapes were like the one of the Lord of the Rings movie. After a week, I reached Punta Arenas by hitchhiking a ferry : the captain agreds to take me for free! In Puerto Natales, I met Thierry and Teko, French and Chilean photographers. I joined their group for a six day hike in the beautiful Torres Del Paine National Park . My hitchhiking world tour continued along the Carretera Austral, adorned with its autumn colors. While I hitchhiked an helicopter, I could admire Patagonia from the sky. Then I hitchhike an other ferry to the island of Chiloë and I crossed Chile up to Santiago and the neighboring mountains of Caijon del Maipu where I met again Teko, the Chilean photographer. Together, we continued my hitchhiking world tour to the valleys of vineyards of Pisco Elqui, the salars and canyons of San Pedro de Atacama, the seaside town of Arica, then we hitchhiked up the Andes Cordillera to reach Bolivia .
